Welcome

I would like to extend a warm welcome to all our amazing children, parents, extended families, carers, visitors and volunteers.

I know Springfield Infant School and Nursery to be a unique and special place to work. I myself, as Headteacher, feel it is a privilege to work alongside the staff and families in our school community. Many parents already know me as I have worked at the school in various roles over the last 27 years; beginning my own career in teaching as a parent reading volunteer.

Guests to our school often comment that it is a wonderful school. Our bespoke learning buddies help the pupils build resilience, have the confidence to try something new and the perseverance to keep trying, even when things get tough.  Visitors recognise that our young learners are well-behaved, polite, hardworking, happy and independent. They are truly a credit to the school and their enthusiasm to learn is infectious.

However, those high standards are only achieved through the efforts of a talented, caring and dedicated team. Each and every member of our staff work together to create that 'magical' feel you get when you enter the school.

I hope our new website gives you a taste of school life at Springfield Infant and Nursery School. Please contact our friendly office team if you would like to visit the school or offer your services as one of our regular volunteers.

Mrs Gail Phillips

Headteacher
